The Reebok Spartan Race apparel collection was designed and created for Spring/Summer 2015, in collaboration with design, graphics at Reebok, Int. Ltd.
Nomad-Tech is about taking inspiration from Nomadic-inspired elements such as wooly materials and silhouettes and combining them with high tech design needs and qualities such as transparent ripstop. My inspiration came from the modular storage cart above in yellow and the strap construction from skydiving suits. The modular concept in the cart translated into modular apparel, which attaches and detaches from the shoulder to create a mobile storage unit. I executed the jacket above in orange as a continuing concept from this project and it was incorporated into my final thesis collection. Hand sketches were executed in Milan, Italy.
Inspiration for my thesis collection originated from urban bicycling, as the first look includes a ripstop dress with a removable backpack component. The second look in the collection makes a statement of the performance market transitioning into a lifestyle market. The combination of the raglan and set-in sleeves provides a natural ventilation system for the wearer. The interior component of the windbreaker complements the tailored transparent shell, with bust darts and classic collar.
